If you're wondering who I am, this is me and my wife Maria, and we love to take as many vacations together as we possibly can.

We both have extensive travel experience backgrounds, where I successfully ran a discount vacation agency, and then later offered a Business Development Manager  position within the same company in 2004.

My position was to assist in developing a fully functional cruise specialist call center for the luxury cruise market. The business model was designed to run as a virtual agency, where most of our business would come from our website, which really intrigued me right from the inception of the project.

Once the cruise department was up and running, I quickly noticed that we were selling a lot of cruise and vacation packages over the Internet, without any communication other than email confirmations, and some follow-up phone calls.

I was amazed that people from all over would drop thousands of dollars on their credit card and book their vacations online, and the reason was simple. Just like you, many of our clients that booked their vacation through our website were and still are very intellegent people that understand the incredible savings they would obtain booking their own cruise online.

With the ability to gain worldwide access to a variety of Internet vacation sites that offered direct service and booking tools, this eliminated all the retail costs such as reservations fees and possible price-markups that many agencies would do to make money.

As my clients became more educated, and understood the true benefits and savings in booking their vacations online, the convenience also became more apparent. Many of the local wholesale cruise tour companies quickly noticed this huge trend, and realized they could compete with the lower prices offered via these travel companies on the Internet, and thus the Internet is now the place to go for fantastic discounts and last minute deals!

As the travel market was shifting, and many of our vacationers, such as yourself, were becoming more knowledgeable using the Internet, and were becoming more aware of the deep discounts offered through online vacation sites, it was a no brainer to move over to the Internet travel business, and provide quality information for our readers to help them find a great vacation deal here online.
